017Q:  Will hearing instruments help me to better understand speech?

A:  Yes.  In most cases, hearing instruments, if properly programmed, will improve your understanding of speech by elevating the frequencies that you have been missing.

Q:  Can hearing instruments help me hear better even in noisy places?

A:  Yes.  Noisy environments are the most challenging for people with and without hearing loss, but current technology has helped most users to hear better in noise than before.

Q:  How do I choose the right level of technology?

A:  We typically use your audiometric information and lifestyle considerations to help you select the most appropriate level of technology.

Q:  How do I know which style is best for me?

A:  Factors including ear shape and size, hearing levels and cosmetic appeal can determine the best style for you.

Q:  Do I have to use two hearing instruments?

A:  No.  However, most individuals have a similar amount of hearing loss in both ears, making two instruments the best choice for improved speech understanding, localization of sounds and balanced hearing.

Q:  If I have a severe hearing loss, can I still use the nearly invisible devices?

A:  Probably.  Although it does depend on the severity of your hearing loss, many of today's tiny devices are also powerful, allowing us to fit most levels of loss successfully.

Q:  How much does hearing care cost?

A:  Hearing care will normally cost from $975.00 per ear to $2900.00 per ear, or as low as $40.00 per month with approved credit.  The price difference reflects the various levels of technology available in the hearing instruments.  Also, the pricing includes complete, comprehensive care and lifetime service.  (Please see Hearing Care Plans and SoundCare for more information.)

Q:  Can I try hearing instruments before purchasing them?

A:  Yes.  There are some devices that you can demo in our office to test sound and comfort. Also, if you do purchase hearing care, we offer a money-back guarantee or exchange policy to ensure your satisfaction.
