Tinnitus Therapy

Workplace_noisechris-blog-picRealizing that millions of people have Tinnitus (ringing or other noises in the ears), we are always looking for solutions.  Often for individuals with hearing loss, hearing instruments can help to mask Tinnitus, providing much needed relief.  For some though, Tinnitus is more severe, and hearing aids may not help.  Also, many people have Tinnitus but still have normal hearing, not needing hearing aids.  So I am excited to inform you about a recent development from Siemens Hearing Instruments.

It's a Tinnitus Therapy feature, available in several technology levels and styles, which is highly adjustable to one's individual needs.  We can choose among four different therapy signals and introduce them into one or more listening programs of your hearing instrument.  Also, the signal level can be adjusted across many different frequencies to achieve the best match to the Tinnitus.  Furthermore, the Tinnitus Therapy signal can be used without the amplification of the hearing instrument, making it a potentially excellent solution for those who have Tinnitus without hearing loss.
